1:2 — one part liquid color to two parts Wella developer. 20 volume is the house standard for deposit and coverage (up to 2 levels of lift); the level-12 high lifts call for 40 volume to reach their maximum 3-4 levels of lift.

Wella points to the Natural or Gold family at level 8 or darker, with 20 volume. The NN (Intense Natural) shades carry extra pigment load; over 50% gray, the house recommends mixing in equal parts with a Natural or Gold of the same level.

Officially, none: Wella does not place the T toners on the 1-12 scale. The official chart organizes them in a two-axis matrix — neutralizing family (Silver, Ash, Beige) and the hair’s pre-lighten stage (to yellow, pale yellow or gold). The number after the T is a legacy catalog code, not a level. That’s why they’re not in the numeric table above: compare families, not numbers.
