- Igora Royal 6-65, partial coverage
Your client is a natural level 6, three-quarters gray, with normal-thickness hair, and wants Igora Royal 6-65, a partial-coverage shade.
What does Schwarzkopf say to cover the gray with that shade?
What the manufacturer says
6-4 is the US chart’s own example; a Natural (-0) also works.
At 70% white or more, Schwarzkopf’s two documents agree: 2 parts of the chosen shade to 1 part of a natural shade, and shade and natural in equal parts on thick, resistant hair. The US chart names Natural (-0) or Beige (-4) and gives its own example: 40 g of 6-65 + 20 g of 6-4 + 60 g of developer, with no strength printed. They differ on the threshold: the US chart adds the natural on more than 50% white; the Spanish technical manual from 70%, and below that it says to use the shade unmixed.
